For us, holistic living doesn`t only mean using sustainable and regional natural food in the kitchen and in the furniture of the house. It is the family and personal atmosphere that makes your time with us holistically harmonious. In the rural surroundings/areas with meadows and forests, our nature resort Gerbehof is your haven of peace in the midst of a stressful and fast-moving everyday life.

On an area of 30 ha agriculture, the horse ranch as well as fruit plantations, Bio-Landhotel Garni and pension with holiday flats/arpartments and the nature spa area unite to a large whole/complete together – and that to 100% certified organic. Honesty, authenticity and as much individuality as desired – this is what guests experience at our Gerbehof Nature Resort. This is where sustainability and careful interaction with nature are lived out. The apples come directly from our own farm, the other food comes regionally, mostly from surrounding farms, the energy from our own wood chip plant, electricity from 100% hydropower and photovoltaic on the roof.

Organic is more than just a word for us – organic is life, nature in all areas. Respect for nature and in dealing with it and life. The consistent implementation for us was in 2015 with joining the association BIO HOTELS. Sustainable business, regional purchasing and environmentally friendly energy and waste cycles are mandatory for all members. In addition to 2 – 3 inspections annually, the constant improvement of the carbon footprint is the stated common goal. Bio is reflected not only in the food used, also all cosmetic products, such as shampoo or soap and green electricity and paper from sustainable forest management are mandatory. Organic is a way of life – for nature, with her, for a healthy and natural life.

Bonding with nature and sustainability are combined in the holistic nature of the Gerbehof. The entire facility in our Biohotel am Bodensee was exclusively made of local woods, partly from our own forest and hand-crafted and equipped. Not only because of the ecological aspect, but also – or just – to give the rooms a cozy cosiness, which has a positive effect on the human organism. The attention to detail, from the furnishings, the processed wood in the furniture, the rocks from the mouth of the Rhine in the spa area to the breakfast room overlooking our unique Naturspa area – a true resting garden.
